Pledge Over Time - 2nd Payment!

We wanted to check in to let all the Pledge Over Time folks that they should have received notice for the second of three charges for their pledge over the past weekend. There will be one final payment after this on or around October 28th. Once those have been completed, we'll be sending surveys out to all Pledge Over Time backers. We expect that to happen on or around October 28th, as well.

Non-Pledge Over Time Backers: Surveys Being Sent Out!

Hey there, folks!

Since the smoke test was a success, we'll be sending out surveys today! This only affects those who OPTED OUT for Pledge Over Time, as those payments should have just been completed! It may take a little bit for Backerkit to process they surveys being sent, maybe even a few days, so we appreciate your patience!

If you do not see your invite email show up by the end of the week, please take a look at the following:

• Spam Folder: Survey emails can occasionally find their way to your spam folder. If you don't see anything come through from Backerkit check your spam folder first.
• Apple ID Email Addresses: If the email address tied to your Kickstarter account is a secure Apple ID address, the survey email may be blocked entirely. The email addresses look something like this:  "[email protected]".  If you're not seeing the email from Backerkit, check to see if your email address looks like one of these. If it does, we recommend that you first change that email in Kickstarter so you avoid any future issues.
• Once you've checked both of those things send us a message here or send an email to [email protected] to let us know what your updated email address is.

If you opted in for Pledge Over Time and are reading this update...

You will not receive your survey at this time. Your payments will still be processing for another couple of months. We will communicate via update when you should expect to receive yours!

If you are a Late-Pledge backer (you didn't back the project while the campaign was live)...

You will not receive a survey as all the necessary information we need is collected upon check-out!

Going Forward

Here is what you can expect in the coming months as we work on fulfilling this project.

• First, please remember that we operate on a 15 month production and fulfillment schedule.
• As we get all of the products made, you can expect to see an update from us one to two times a month. So stay tuned here for all the latest!
• Once we have the products and are ready to start fulfillment, we will post an update and send an email giving everyone 48 hours to update their addresses if needed. Once that window closes, you will not be able to update your address yourself and will need to contact us directly to make those changes.
• With addresses locked, we will start packing and shipping. This final step will take some time. We appreciate your patience. ❤️

There are 1-2 of us who monitor support emails. We'll introduce ourselves in a future update, but for the moment, we want to fill y'all in on our availability.

Hi there folks!

This update is only for folks who did not opt in for Pledge Over Time.

We're just about ready to start sending out surveys to backers who did not opt-in for Pledge Over Time. The last piece of that process is what's called a 'smoke test'. To do this, we send out surveys to about 5% of backers to make sure everything in Backerkit is working as it should and that we haven't broken anything. We'll be conducting this test over the next couple of days, so those 5% of surveys will go out today. If everything goes well, you can expect the rest of the surveys to go out by Thursday or Friday at the latest!

While we do that, here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

• Spam Folder: Survey emails can occasionally find their way to your spam folder. Once we announce that all surveys have gone out, if you don't see anything come through from Backerkit, check your spam folder first. Be sure to also check for Backerkit's survey email: [email protected].

To expedite the process, please provide us with your name, backer number, or the AppleID email address so we can locate your account!
• If you send us a message on Kickstarter, we may request that you send the message to our support email instead. Thank you.

And now... a Campaign you folks should check out!

In this huge book (ca A3, wide), you can find over 250 maps made for D&D, Magic: The Gathering, Warcraft, Diablo IV, Dragon Age, Game of Thrones, Dragonbane, Gloomhaven, and many others. You will find her maps in board games, RPGs, graphic novels, and pretty much every other medium available, and now you will also be able to find them all nicely bound in Francesca Baerald's book: UNBOUND! 

We collected her favorite maps, put them on 320 pages, and she added her anecdotes and commentary, and even a little behind-the-scenes where she explains how she approaches the high art of mapmaking. The book will be available in three editions, as described further down. We hope that you enjoy looking through this campaign. 

On the 320 pages of the book, you can find, of course, the maps Francesca made. They are often displayed in different ways, including full views or close-ups, macro photos showing details of the original work, and double-page spreads featuring her most detailed work.

UNBOUND comes in three editions: the Standard Edition and the Premium Edition (signed and with a luxurious cover design) and the Limited Edition. After you pick your book, you can add a Swag Pack. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Early Bird tiers!

The books will be printed to a high standard, designed by Spiridon Giannakis, and shipped by Éditions Caurette, with the care and service you have come to appreciate over more than 50 campaigns. We hope you, as a collector, will choose the tier that best suits your interests.

MOVING FORWARD...

• First, Kickstarter will begin processing payments for your pledges. That will take approximately 2 weeks. If you did not use Pledge Over Time, this will be the full amount of your pledge. If you opted to use Pledge Over Time, this will be the first 1/3rd of your total pledge.
• If you opted OUT for Pledge Over Time, you will receive your survey on or around September 14th. If you opted IN for Pledge Over Time, your second payment will be on or around September 28th, followed by your third and final payment on or around October 28th. 
• Once the final payment has been made for Pay Over Time backers, we will send out all remaining surveys to the email addresses you have attached to your Kickstarter account. We expect this to occur by or around October 28th.
• Answer your survey questions and grab any extra Add-Ons you want. For those of you asking how to make your tier selections, you'll do that here. Due to the shipping beta test, shipping will be charged at this time.
• As we get all of the products made, you can expect to see an update from us 1-2 times a month. So stay tuned here for all the latest!

SHIPPING & HANDLING

We've gotten a range of feedback over the last year about how to make our books more accessible to everyone, and one of the most common places we hear we could make a simple change is by charging shipping later, so there's an additional opportunity to split the product costs.

All shipping and handling fees will be processed on BackerKit when you fill out your backer survey, which will be sent out 2-3 weeks after the campaign ends.

THIS WILL NOT CHANGE THE SHIPPING COST. We have outlined what every item's shipping will be post-campaign below so you can account for it immediately!

Hey all! 

Heather here while Bryce is away at WorldCon this weekend! On behalf of all of us at Wraithmarked, we just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for not only your support on this campaign, but your enthusiasm to stand behind human artists. This has been an incredible journey and one we've been wanting to make a reality for several years. Thank you also to Spiridon for your help making this passion project come true!

As per usual, this update is just a quick flyby hello to let you know that more information about what to expect in the future is coming next week! It's just after hours here in the US (best time to end the campaign, we've found), so that would normally mean that Bryce says a few words and sends this update off. Since he's away having fuuun and being the social butterfly that he iiis and buying cool arrtt and eating tasty foooood and meeting up with frieeendsss... the already hardworking crew has to stay late and work even harder to make sure you folks are up-to-date (just kidding, I'm firing this off from the comfort of my own home, in comfy clothes, surrounded by cats, working through my Steam library).

As always, we cannot express how grateful we are that you guys allow us to do stuff like this! Thank you for being here, thank you for backing the campaign, and thank you for supporting human artists. Have a good weekend, and more info coming next week!
